Accessibility

We would like as many people as possible to enjoy the garden and would encourage visitors to get in touch if they have any specific accessibility or mobility requirements .

The garden is mostly flat and accessible by wheelchair. The few steps, and slopes in the Croft and Rill mean a few areas will be inaccessible. Some areas of the garden are a little narrow and so care must be taken when manoeuvring through it in mobility vehicles. Our garden map clearly marks which areas are and aren’t accessible.

We have a visitor wheelchair which can be pre-booked in advance by calling the garden office. If it has not been pre-booked, it can be loaned on a first come, first served basis.

DISABLED PARKING

There is limited disabled parking available on the front lawn underneath the beech and cedar trees. We ask that you give us a courtesy call if you intend on parking closer to the entrance. Please display your blue badge.

There is a disabled toilet located in the plant sales area and a ramp into the tearoom.
