Lanhydrock Garden

Lanhydrock Garden: photograph by Clive NicholsOriginally named in homage to the upper garden at the National Trust’s Lanhydrock Garden in Cornwall.

From June to September this is the show stopper! The shorthand name "hot garden" gives the clue. Hot red, yellows and oranges dominate in large block planting. The reds are accentuated by dabs of blue coming mainly from veronicas and agapanthus. Here are many different varieties of hemerocallis, heleniums, helianthus, kniphofias and salvias together with a very useful erysimum which we call 'Apricot Delight'.
