Wollerton Rose wins prize at the Nantes fragrance trials 2012

On 1 June 2012, the rose 'Wollerton Old Hall' won 2nd International Prize of the City of Nantes.

The fragrance was described as 'Powdery, heliotrope with a hint of creamy Magnolia/Osmanthus on a background of balsamic and Tonka Bean', which according to Robert Calkin, fragrance expert at David Austin Roses, is 'very much of a perfumer's description'.

If Roses are your passion, why not consider attending a lecture on the subject? In June 2013, Michael Marriott, Technical Manager and Chief Rosarian at David Austin Roses, will be performing such a lecture here at Wollerton. Please see our events page for further details.
