Ken Black

Clematis for year-round colour in your garden

12 August 2023                                                                   Tickets £45

Join us for this interactive lecture with full history on Clematis. Learn about the well-known and not so well-known varieties. Ken will demystify some of the issues often associated with them.

There will be a practical demonstration on planting, growing, feeding, and pruning. Ken will discuss pests and diseases and demonstrate various methods of propagation. Ken grows many of his clematis from seed and cuttings and, if he has spare plants, he might even bring some for sale!

This fascinating lecture takes place inside the home of John and Lesley Jenkins at Wollerton Old Hall. The day starts at 10.30am with coffee & biscuits, with the lecture commencing at 11.00am. Following the lecture, wine will be served inside the hall.

A 2-course seasonal lunch of home-cooked food is then served in the Courtyard Tea room.
